Mommy, Why Do You Have Two Birthdays? (a memoir)

It is December 12, 2003, the excitement of the holiday season quickly approaches…

You can feel the exhilaration of the holidays saturating the air. People float by adorning smiles of holiday delight, lovers hold hands, kids skip about. Their eyes glisten in the reflection of the holiday displays. It is such a breathtaking time of year!

Then, out of nowhere, you are hit square in the face! This is quickly followed by a rock solid fist to the sternum. You crumble to the ground as you are hit with the words Stage four Non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

In a matter of seconds you tragically shifted from a life of ease and happiness, to a survival mode of sorts. You are now facing the biggest challenge of your life.

If you are reading this, I thank you for joining me on an amazing journey that will amaze and delight you. It is a journey about pride. A pride that I hold deep in my heart. It is a story about belief. A belief deep within ourselves that we can overcome anything. It is about love. A love and respect that I have for an amazing wife, mother and friend.

This story is about my beautiful wife, Pam.

I love you!

Borrowed Eyes and Feet – Finding Enlightenment After Rage (a memoir)

“We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.”

– Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

The work you hold in your hands is a personal reflection on a life journey from anger and rage towards a higher awareness, or state of enlightenment. The title of the book manifested during a morning meditation on December 2, 2016. I pondered the meaning for quite some time before deciding to capture it in words, although to this day I still fascinate over these words in search of a deeper meaning. When I think I have it all figured out something magical manifests and I return to a search for meaning once again. In my yearning to understand the symbolization and meaning of eyes and feet I found the following interpretations from various viewpoints, beliefs, and religions which are shared in the following paragraphs.

“For eyes and ears are sense without sense, and what they see and hear they but report. It is not they that hear and see, but you, who put together every jagged piece, each senseless scrap and shred of evidence, and made a witness to the world you want. Let not the body’s ears and eyes perceive these countless fragments seen within the gap that you imagined, and let them persuade their maker his imaginings are real.”

List for Santa, List for Life!

It’s almost Christmas time, and Kylie is writing her first list for Santa. Kylie has grown up like any other kid—and like most children—she knows just what she wants for herself and for others. Kylie asks Santa for gifts for herself, for her mom and dad, and even for her teacher. But she doesn’t just list the items she wants for Christmas. She also lists all her goals as well.

Remember the first time you wrote your first Christmas list for Santa? For many of us, writing lists for Santa as children may have been the first time we ever set our own goals detailing what we desired. This practice is useful not only for making sure Santa knows just what you’re hoping for, but for making sure you never forget your goals and aspirations.

Kylie’s experience in List for Santa, List for Life! teaches children the importance of writing down and maintaining their own set of goals and desires to help them receive the wonderful things this life has to offer.

Positive Thoughts, Positive Life!

During her daily adventures, Kylie reflects (meditates) on all of the wonderful things that come to her each and every day. More importantly, she learns to turn challenges into learning opportunities.

In addition to learning from Kylie, you will have the opportunity to add your own positive affirmations in a journal page at the end of her story.

Whether you are a child or an adult, Kylie can teach the value of daily reflection (meditation) and help you discover the power of Positive Thoughts, Positive Life!

Life is Fine, When You Are Aligned!

Our friend Kylie is back in Life is Fine, When You Are Aligned!, the third installment in T.E. Corner’s inspirational children’s book series. He continues to impress, captivating readers and leaving them with messages that last a lifetime.

In his writings, List for Santa, List for Life!, Positive Thoughts, Positive Life! and Life is Fine, When You Are Aligned!, T.E. captures critical habits that children and adults can embrace:

  1. Maintaining a working list of dreams and goals is an excellent way to realize all that you desire. (List for Santa, List for Life!)
  2. Reciting affirmations – positive thoughts – on a daily basis enhances the manifestation of your dreams and goals. (Positive Thoughts, Positive Life!)
  3. Removing self-doubt and negative self talk is the next step to achieving your dreams and goals, leading to a life of happiness. (Life is Fine, When You Are Aligned!)

The Amazing A’s keynote presentation, based on his writings, will open your eyes to a world of possibility that you deserve. As T.E. puts it, “All too often we get in our own way. By removing self-doubt and fear, we can accomplish anything we desire.”
